The GRO Collection

The GRO Collection is a modern grocery store design for the Retail Design Institution competition in 2019. The goal was to create an unique business model along with the design. 

Concept

The GRO Collection is a modern twist of a classic business model. The client, Gourmet Grocer, is bringing an artesian quality back in to their supermarket without losing the convenience of any competitors. The concept was a modern twist in a farmers market. Rustic and simple elements are integrated to create a fresh face to the charming classic model.

Design Applications 

With the Gro Collection, Gourmet Grocer is bringing back the personal touch to the shopping environment. Without losing modern convenience, Gro brings the old practiced model of a farmers market into the new age by offering spaces for local vendors to lease while also supplying other products not available in the local marketplace to provide shoppers with consistent and reliable shopping experience. This model makes strong ties to the community and distributes quality ingredients to its shoppers with the help of the knowledgeable staff which creates the products themselves. There is also spaces that customers can enjoy the food offered in the store and a To Go food bar where customers can take well rounded pre made meals home after shopping.​
